Lights On Ceremony, Carols & Fireworks
Event Cancelled for 2020
This iconic event brings together family and friends for the official opening of the Lobethal Lights.
This fun evening takes place in and around the Main Street of Lobethal.
The Centenial Hall Market is open every night from the 8th - 29th December (excluding December 25th), from 6pm until late. This is the place to browse a variety of arts and craft stalls and to discover and enjoy a range of local produce. Local community members will be serving light refreshments inside, plus strawberries and ice-cream and a sausage sizzle out the front. There will be a wonderful selection of food stalls and the local pubs, cafes, takeaway and Kloses Foodland will be open till late each night of the event.
Santa will make his official entrance in the Senior Citizen Hall and will be available to see until the 22nd December.
Carols in the Valley starts at 7pm at the Lutheran Church, Main Street, which is followed by the opening ceremony and fireworks.
Lights On Ceremony & Fireworks - from 8.30pm - 9pm. This year's special guests, Pixie Sparkle and Tinsel, will flick the switch that marks the start of the lights festival. This is then followed by a spectacular fireworks display. (Best viewing location is in front of Nativity scene).
Light Displays - Of course this is the main attraction of the festival. The Lobethal community light up their homes and businesses to create an impressive display throughout the town.
This is a Family Event. Please leave your drinks at home, and keep it a Dry Zone.
Please ensure your animals are safe and secure during the Fireworks Display.
